Town Hall Meeting - June 26, 2009

** EVENTS **

- Thursday, June 25th, 7 PM SLT: Iron Melee at Port Merrimac.

- Friday, June 26th, 8 PM SLT: Bridal Formal event at the Kokopelli. Cake will be served, but only one bouquet will be thrown.

- Monday, June 29th, 7 PM SLT: Mandatory meeting for all Steelhead Councilors. Any Councilor not able to attend, please notify Lunar.

** STEELHEAD PUBLIC LIBRARY **

- Steelhead is putting together a 'Summer of Flight' exhibit. There is an exhibit about the beginning of flight in the library. We will have displays of airplanes in the hotel and even a tiny dogfight next week.

- Wednesday, July 1st, 7 PM SLT: Tiny Dogfights will be held in Port Harbor. There will be free tiny aircraft available, and the event is open to everyone.

** STEELHEAD TEAM SALMONS RFL **

"Thank you to those that participated and most especially put the Midsummer Grand Tour together. They labor tirelessly and lose a great deal of sleep over the weekend for it.
Steelhead's Ceilidh hosted by Miss Searra Weatherwax raised, from kiosk donations alone, L$12908. The jewelry auction will be ongoing during the week. Doc Wrangler donated about half of that so we could roll over into 6 digits.
Our team total stands at L$105,550 as of my checking last night."

** STEELHEAD THIS, THAT, AND THE OTHER **

- Please welcome the following new residents to Steelhead: Miss Freeta Kayo (Steelhead Boomtown), Mr. Structure Scientist, and Miss Tigerlily Comet.

- Ten lots have become available in Port Harbor. Because of this unexpected change, the two sim expansion (Steelhead Shanghai and Steelhead Mt. St. Helens) has been temporarily placed on hold. Lunar will be doing more with the land and/or making changes to the waterway. Any changes in the mapping of Port Harbor will be put out to the public for comment. Available lots can be identified via the mapboards in the Town Hall foyer. Please contact TotalLunar Eclipse for further information concerning these and other available properties.

- June 23, 2009 marks 6 FULL years of Second Life. To celebrate 6, and our passage into year 7, your fellow Residents have been busy for months, planning a 20-Region party around the theme "The Future of Virtual Worlds." - Wednesday, June 24th, 8 PM SLT: Wacky Wednesday at the Coal Power Plant Lounge in Steeltopia. Music provided by Diamanda Gustafson. They will also host a "Best in Modern Police Wear" contest, with both male and female winners and a cash prize of L$1000. Voting starts at 9:30 PM SLT.

- The Primgraph has put up an exhibit of all the issues they have come out with. We were invited to send in a gift from Steelhead and there was no better gift than that of what was plastered on the front cover of the Primgraph #3, a tiny toy version of the airship.

- The Primgraph will also be having a party at their site on Saturday 27th at noon until 2pm SLT if you're so inclined to brave the lag.

"Big things happening with Ironclads.. My personal favorite Civil War Ironclad, the Ellet Ram, will be out as a Civil War line release at the end of this week. SCS and MMS are about done, for ICS 3.0. Submarines.. three of them will be released within 2 weeks. They are approved for battles at Port Merrimac. There will be a torpedo firing sub, a mine dropper, and a really big GUN sub.

This Thursday will witness another LANDING PARTY battle (the last one being so popular.) The MMCS system is at the Port.. next to nothing in cost.. help yourselves. Hope to see you on Thursday."
