Town Hall Meeting Minutes

** EVENTS **

- Wednesday, 6 to 8 PM SLT, Club Gearz: DJ Angelica will be playing oldies at Club Gearz on Wednesday night, so bebop on over and listen to some golden oldies!

- Wednesday, 8 to 10 PM SLT, Steeltopia Coal Power Plant: DJ Angelica sitting in for Diamanda this week.

- Thursday, 7:30 PM SLT: Iron Melee, hosted by Steelcobra in Obsidian Bay. Scenario will involve pirates storming Steeltopia City Beach and attempting to knock out the defense turret and artillery crew while the fleet unleashes devastating support fire.

- Friday, July 24, 2009, 7:00 PM SLT: Luau in Steeltopia. Ugly Hawaiian shirt contest starts at 8 PM. There will also be a boat building competition for all those interested.

- Friday, July 31, 7:00 PM SLT: "Pride & Prejudice & Zombies" at Isle of Skye. Get your costumes ready!


** STEELHEAD PUBLIC LIBRARY **

- The Steelhead Public Library has an exhibit of 'The Wright Brothers.' For those who have not gone to visit, it is a very well put together exhibit with the history of flight and aviation’s well known female pilots. A free version of the Wright glider is for sale at the library gardens.


** RFL **

- The race is officially over, but the kiosks will remain up until the end of July.

- The RFL campsite was scheduled for demolition today, but you can see the original build in Boomtown. The falls were copied in case we want to use them in the future.

- Team total as of 18:45 today: L$229,200 in-world, and $925.00 of our $1000 goal on the Convio website. The Steelhead Salmons are currently in FIFTH place on the Convio website fundraising out of 130 Teams signed up. - Annechen Lowey is the #4 Convio fundraiser, with $525.00 raised; Captain Kira Kelly of Caledon is #37, and Tanarian Davies is #44 out of 407 participants.

- RFL of SL totals: Current Linden Total: L$62,114,357, which equals U.S.$270,388!

- Tanarian has posted lap counts on the Ning.


** STEELHEAD MISC **

- The Steelhead Saloon will soon be replaced by the Colonial Theater and additional storefronts.

- Steelhead has established an Embassy in New Babbage. Lunar is not finished with the building (it's supposed to be sooty and dirty) so please don't put any prims down for now.

- Eladrienne Laval announced she has opened a Steelhead Museum of Historic Preservation in Harborside. Please visit and learn more about the many builds within Steelhead that are based on real life structures. You will find more information about the RL builds at the museum. The build locations will also have small markers with notecards about their RL site.

- Lunar and Tensai are in the process of setting a meeting date to discuss RP within Steelhead and will notify residents ASAP.


** MISC **

- Piermont Landing Presents: The Trilogy Clockwork/mechanical/Doll themed ball Saturday July 25th 6-9pm SLT. One of the sponsors is Luminous Designs.


** TENSAI'S TECH TALK **

LL failed miserably in their attempts to fix chat. Yes it doesn’t fail as often, but the lag has grown to crazy amounts at times. They really don’t know how to fix it so this may be with us for a while so please hold in there, at least we CAN talk again! If I find out more, I'll let you know.

On your way out you may notice the map on the floor outside....yes, Shanghai is coming! And if all goes well perhaps VERY SOON. We have had an opportunity to get this rolling in short order, so cross your fingers. If that fails it will still come but slightly longer time frame. After the meeting, meet with lunar out in the Foyer if your interested in land.
