**STEELHEAD CITY STUFF**

- Lunar tentatively plans to open Shanghai to group tomorrow, then he will allow residents to put down buildings.

- For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Europan Consulate is once again producing their popular calendar and is accepting submissions. They should be 2048 x 2048 square FULL permissions PNG. Please email to consulate.lackey@gmail.com or send to Annechen Lowey before 18:00 SLT Sept 1, 2009 and keep the composition tasteful.

- The Library will be featuring the Chinese in the Early Northwest during September - if you are interested in doing an event on that theme please let Riven Homewood or CeAire DaCosta know

- Wednesday, August 18, 8 to 10 PM SLT: Wacky Wednesday with Diamanda Gustafson onboard Steeltopia's event airship, the Rapture

- Thursday, August 19: 5 - 7 pm SLT, Jaeger Poetry Slam at Der Hut des Jaeger in Winterfell Absinthe

- Saturday, August 22, 2 pm SLT: Antique & Steampunk Car Rally & Car Show. A thrill-a-minute race from Steeltopia Anchorage to Obsidian Bay to Steeltopia. Entry fee (for Project Jason charity) is 200L. Provide your own period/steampunk vehicle. Prizes will be awarded and there will be a dance afterwards. - Saturday, August 22, 6 to 9 pm SLT: Piermont Landing presents "The Orient Express Formal Ball." Music by DJ Bats. There will also be the following contest:
