- Thursday, 7:30 PM SLT: Iron Melee at Port Merrimac, Roatan. This week's scenario: THE STEELTOPIAN PIGPILE. Many regualr Ironclads against the ginooooooormous STEELTOPIAN KILLER FLAGSHIP.

** STEELHEAD HARVEST FESTIVAL **

- Friday, Sept.18: Corn Maze Festival - In Steelhead Boomtown. Come find your way through the corn maze to the dance. So wear your best corn outfit or corn colored outfit and get lost in the maze. King and Queen of Corn will be crowned that evening.

- Friday, Sept. 25: Harvest Moon Formal Festival - In the Steelhead Ballroom. Formal event ending the Steelhead Harvest Festival and announcing the winners of various contests we're holding in Steelhead for the Harvest Festival.


** CONTESTS **

- September 18, 2009: Tartan Entry Contest Deadline - For those interested in the tartan contest, the cut off date for submissions is midnight, September 18th, 2009. Only one entry per person. If you submitted an entry the last time we tried this contest, you're going to have to send another for this final contest. We'll put the entries in Ballroom for voting by the 22nd with a ballot box for your favorite two. All entries must be submitted to Dogg Food by midnight, September 18.

- September 19-23, 2009: Participants in the Steampunk Building Contest should begin to set up their displays in the barn. Please IM TotalLunar Eclipse if you're interested in participating so we can assign you a stall. Judging will occur before the Harvest Moon Festival. Winners will receive cash prizes, ribbons, and bragging rights.


** STEELHEAD CITY STUFF **

Autumn leaves are falling.....nights are growing colder...

Steelhead does have seasonal changes, and you may have already noticed that the grass has changed slightly with more leaves in it. If you're a landowner, we encourage you to change with the seasons as well (change leaves on the trees, etc.)

For those interested in low prim foliage, Uni Ninetails has trees that change textures according to the season, and you get a discount for wearing your Steelhead tag.

** RANDOM ACTS OF RP IN STEELHEAD **

Mason Labs in Steelhead Harborside was accidentally blown up. Several pieces of debris landed on homes, the bridge, and underwater. We ask that you not try to move the objects as they're being tested to make sure they don't have any sort of contaminant and we don't want someone accidentally squishing themselves.


** OTHER RANDOM STUFF IN THE STEAMLANDS **

- September 19, 6-9 PM SLT: Formal Black Soot Ball.

October 2: Kick-off of the week long 2nd Annual Second Life Boobiethon with a Boobie Ball in the Winterfell Community Center. Steelhead will join the Opening Night at the Winterfell Community Center starting at 6.30 PM SLT. More information including a schedule of events can be found at The Red Rose of Caledon blog.
