Town Hall Meeting Minutes - Sept. 1, 2009

** EVENTS **

- Weds: Club Gearz with Angelica, 6-8

- Weds: after the Gearz Gig, in Steeltopia, Diamanda and The Grand Opening of the new Pneumatic Revolution Lounge, 8-10.

- Thurs: Poetry Slam at Der Hut DeJaegers at Winterfell, 5:00 PM SLT

- Thursday: Iron Melee, 7:30 pm PST. At Port Merrimac, Roatan.

- Friday, Sept. 4, 7PM SLT: Trout Festival in Steelhead Capital City - Swim with the Fish Fry Night. In the bay in Main Steelhead come dance under the sea with the fishies, cement shoes not included.

- Friday, Sept. 11: In remembrance of September 11th, there will not be a Friday night dance.

- Saturday, Sept. 12: Americana Festival - In Steelhead Harborside. Big Foot, Pecos Bill, Paul Bunyan, Johnny Appleseed, Huck Finn, Fuzzball Ortega (landmark to be announced)

- Friday, Sept.18: Corn Maze Festival - In Steelhead Boomtown. Come find your way through the corn maze to the dance. So wear your best corn outfit or corn colored outfit and get lost in the maze. King and Queen of Corn will be crowned that evening. (landmark to be announced)

- Friday, Sept. 25: Harvest Moon Formal Festival - In the Steelhead Ballroom. Formal event ending the Steelhead Harvest Festival and announcing the winners of various contests we're holding in Steelhead for the Harvest Festival.

** LIBRARY EVENTS **

- During September, the Steelhead Public Library will be featuring the Chinese in the 19th century west. A new exhibit on this topic will open next week. On Sept. 20, Elegia Underwood will read original stories and on Sept. 27, Riven Homewood will read from the works for Frank Chin. More details will be available closer to those dates.

- The Wright Brothers & Beyond library exhibit will close Sept. 7. After packing, it will travel to Victoriana for exhibition there. An exhibit from Victoriana about Pre-Raphealite painting will open here in October. Many thanks to Mr. Steadman Kondor for arranging this.

** STEELHEAD CITY STUFF **

- Steelhead Harvest Festival Month Contests!

TARTAN VOTING CONTEST
RULES:Anyone can enter - they don't have to be a landowner or citizen to enter
One Entry per person (even if anonymous)
Must have our Steelhead colors in them (black, yellow, blue) "For all those tartan guru's, we're doing a dress, tartan style."
Texture size should be 512x512
Texture must be submitted full perms.
Must be submitted before September 18th - anything after will not be considered
All submissions will be put up in the hotel for judging and voting (date to be announced)
Winners announced during the Harvest Moon Festival

STEAMPUNK BUILDING CONTEST - BLUE RIBBON STATE FAIR
There will be three categories this year. We're looking for Steampunk driven creatures.. We'll have a barn area set up for your displays starting Sept.19
CATEGORIES: Livestock, Poultry, and Exotic 'Other' animals
RULES: No bigger than 10x5 square meters on all categories (Even the poultry)
No more than 30 prims for each entry
Please one entry per category per participant or group of participants
Anyone can enter you don’t have to be a landowner or citizen to enter

Cash Prizes, Ribbons and bragging rights.
