Town Hall Meeting Minutes - December 1, 2009

** STEELHEAD EVENTS **

- Every Monday thru December, 1 PM SLT: Open Mic Meanderings - Poetry at the Dragonlands Hotel.

- Monday, 7-9 PM SLT: WAM at Club Gearz with DJ Diamanda.

- Every Wednesday thru December, 4 PM SLT: Stories @ Dragonlands Hotel. Elegia Underwood reads.

- Every Friday, 9 AM SLT: DJ Angelica at Club Gearz in Steelhead Boomtown

- Friday, 7 PM SLT: Friday Night dance in Steelhead St Helens. Rustic theme dance to commemorate the addition of Steelhead's newest sim.

** STEELHEAD CITY STUFF **

- Mt. St. Helens is here! Check it out, please don’t' rez things there, (a horse, etc is okay, just try not to leave it out). We will release renters to the sim with a group notice, hopefully very soon. If you would like land, let Tensai or TotalLunar Eclipse know so they can reserve that lot for you.

** STEELHEAD PUBLIC LIBRARY **

- Sunday, December 6: Holiday Story Festival. Two sessions, beginning at 11am SLT and 6pm SLT. We still have room for a few readers. Please contact Riven Homewood if you would like to read. We would like to have stories and poems from a wide variety of winter holiday traditions, including but not limited to, Christmas, Hanukkah, and Solstice.

- Victorian Christmas Decoration Contest: The Steelhead Public Library is sponsoring a Victorian Christmas Decoration contest. Property owners in all Steelhead sims are eligible to enter. A team of judges will be announced at a later date.

First prize: $1,000L
Second prize: $500L
2 Honorable Mentions: $250L each

- Wright Brothers Exhibition: The Duke of Mayfair, in conjunction with Steelhead Library, invites you to attend an exhibition on the Wright Brothers and their famous flying machine.

Location: Jules Verne Wharf, Caledon Mayfair
Exhibition time: Dec 1st to Feb 1st
Curated by Miss Riven Homewood.

In this exhibition you will find:
- Letters, drawings and photographs of the Wright Brothers.
- Cinematographe of a Wright Flyer being launched
- The Wright Sister (6 contenders for this title including Amelia Earheart)
- Other early flying machines
- Model of the 1900 Glider
- Flying Book collections


** MESSAGE FROM MANAGEMENT **

December is coming up, we are aware of some of the big yearly dances other communities do such as the snowflake ball etc etc. We want to try and not have big events clash so if you’re doing a major event in December can you drop Lunar a notecard with the date and time so we're aware of what's out there.


** OTHER EVENTS AROUND THE STEAMLANDS **

- Wednesday, 8-10 PM SLT: DJ Diamanda in Steeltopia at the Pneumatic Revolution Lounge. Regular "Just Come Dance" event.

- Thursday, 5-7 PM SLT: Poetry Slam at Der Hut DeJaegers at Winterfell.

- Thursday, 7:30 PM SLT: Iron Melee...Roatan and surrounding environs are being terraformed now. In the meantime, Angus Graham Ceawlin host at Sanctuary Seas. LMs will be given.

- Saturday, December 5, 7:30 PM SLT: Battle Storm Saturday in Steeltopia. Come blow things up, sink your best friends. In IronClad ships. Possible Urban Warfare in the nearby capital city.

- Sunday, Dec. 6, 6 PM SLT, Blue Angel Memorial Garden: Memorial service for the four officers killed in the line of duty recently in WA State.

- Every Sunday in Steeltopia...Smokin' Sundays with Da Fuzz, starting at 7 PM.

- Repeal Day Building Contest for Das Jaeger Haus - And they’re celebrating by making moonshine!

Saturday, December 19, 2 PM to 5 PM SLT In Babbage: The Steam Santa & His Hard Working Elf (not Lunar) Steel Welding Ice Skating Ball. Music by the Amazing DJ Bats. Santa's "Steam Hat" Building Contest (30 prims limit)

December 20, 2 PM SLT: Celebrating one year of the Aether Salon Topic.....Shanghaied. With Lunar.....More information to come as they develop.
