- Friday, May 7th, From the Earth to the Moon, Steampunk Style Explorers of the Moon. Hosted by Tensai - Location TBD

- Sunday, May 9th, 4 PM to 6 PM SLT: Mother's Day Formal Tea Celebration, hosted by Lumina Elvehjem. Location: Steelhead Capital City Gardens.

- Photo Exhibit at the Steelhead Public Library.
Take a tour through the origins of modern photography, from the daguerreotype to the ferrotype (a.k.a. "tintype"). The 19th century was the heyday of "wet plate" photography, where the artist had to work while the emulsion was wet and active. Even with this limitation, the wet-plate process brought portraiture to the masses, and enabled visual artists to express themselves in a startling new way!

- Open Mic Meanderings at Dragonlands at 1 PM SLT. 6 May 1889 – The Eiffel Tower is officially opened to the public at the Universal Exposition in Paris. Therefore, the theme for the Poetry Slam will be Modern Wonders, and can wander a far afield as Paris, or giant constructions, or engineering feats, or.... Bring your finely-crafted and well-tuned poems to the pub at 5:00 SLT.

- Smokin' Sunday with DJ Fuzzball Ortega at 7 PM SLT.

STEELHEAD RELAY FOR LIFE

From Fuzzball Ortega: Our total so far is L$5803. And so far, Relay For Life of Second Life, all teams working together, have raised $104,793 USD. Looks like we'll reach the $300,000 USD goal by July

- Readers needed for 1001 Arabian Night's reading sessions towards the end of the month. If you want to read poetry or stories it doesn't have to be a specific theme but please specify. We'll have sign-ups on the Ning.

- Paint the Town Purple continues through Saturday.

- The Steamlands Halfway Grand Tour. May 15th and 16th. Covering all of the Steamlands. Steelhead's part will be on the 16th from 6 PM to 8PM.
