STEELHEAD SPONSORED COMMUNITY EVENTS

Thank you to Krystine Qinan and Remington Pinion for putting together the Aoi festival last Friday. It was a huge success and a fun lesson on the festival itself.

- Tuesday May 18th: Two explosions to be celebrated today - Mt St Helens eruption and Tensai Hilra's RL birthdate

- Friday, May 21st, We're celebrating the Anniversary of the Mt. St. Helens eruption. And yes, we're going to try to recreate a modern day version of Mt. St. Helens. Hosted by Tensai Hilra at Steelhead Mt. St. Helens.

- Friday, May 28, 1001 Arabian Nights, a Relay for Life event, Steelhead Hotel and Ballroom.

If you have an event in Steelhead and would like to announce it or place it in the calendar of events, please visit the Steelhead Ning and add your event. Restrictions are as follows:  the event must not conflict with a Steelhead Community event like our Tuesday Town Hall meeting or Friday night dance. If that is unavoidable, please contact management before posting your event.

STEELHEAD PUBLIC WORKS

- Builders Needed!!
Steelhead will be putting together a build team for a timed build competition to represent Steelhead. More information on the details of the contest will come at a later date. The subject matter is not structural so you can all breathe easy. Lunar will be one of the judges for the competition so we cannot use him. Please please please if you want to be part of the team send Lunar a notecard saying you're interested.

STEELHEAD RELAY FOR LIFE

Thank you to everyone who braved the crowds, lag and stayed up for ungodly hours to attend the RFL Grand Tour. Thank you to Fuzzball for putting together Steelhead's portion of the RFL. We're well over 100K from that night.

- Readers are still needed for 1001 Arabian Night's reading sessions. Contact TotalLunar Eclipse for further information. Storytelling will be on Wednesday, 26th, 5-7 PM and Thursday, 27th, 5-7 PM. The 1001 Arabian Nights Dance follows at 7 PM SLT on the 28th.

- Announcing the "Steampunks Against Cancer Relay for Life Poster Design Contest." For additional information please contact Sky Netizen. Poster designs must follow the “Steampunks Against Cancer” theme. Creativity and humor are greatly encouraged! Entries will be accepted until Sunday, June 6th at Midnight.  Entry textures are to be sent to Sky Netizen. All entries will be displayed at Coal & Soot Industries inPort Babbage the week of June 7th - 13th. Voting will last during the same week and will end Sunday, June 13th at Midnight.  All voting will be done with Lindens, going to RFL. Votes will be tallied and top three entries given ribbons.  First place winner will have their poster distributed throughout the Steamlands and put up for sale, proceeds going to RFL.

- The Phantasmagoria Theatre Presents: 31 Days of Mayhem! Each week in the month of May we are showing a classic horror films from the legendary 1970s horror film director SF Bronrigg. And the virtual premier of Red Vitoria created by the son of SF Brownrigg Anthony Brownrigg who will be there in virtual person.
